The Jacksonville Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants is proud to host a 2 hour CPE event dedicated to clarifying and answering questions regarding the adoption of the ASC 842 - Leases for private companies. The Financial Accounting Standards Board recently deferred the effective date for adoption for private companies
to take effect for annual financial reporting periods starting after Dec. 15 (or after Jan. 1, 2020 for calendar periods), and interim periods after Dec. 15, 2020.

Please park in the parking garage on the 3rd and 4th floors in unreserved spaces. Bring your ticket to the 8th Floor and they will be validated so parking is free. To get to BDO's offices, you will need to take the elevator in the parking garage to level 1. Exit the elevator and enter the lobby where the building elevators are located. Proceed to the 8th Floor.

Tim has a combined 17 years of public accounting and industry experience which he
utilizes in managing his client engagements, including financial statement audits,
reviews and compilations. Tim is one of the Jacksonville office practice leaders for SOX 404
assessments and compliance.
Tim is an active member of the Florida Institute of CPA’s (FICPA) Accounting Principles
and Auditing Standards Committee. The Committee studies, reviews and comments on
exposure drafts and research bulletins by various professional standard-setting bodies.
Tim is also a member of the FICPA’s Construction Industry Conference Committee who
plan and present a one-day conference in Orlando for those working in the construction
industry. He is the President of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Institute of Management
Accountants, whose purpose is to promote the professional growth of accountants in
industry.
Barbara Finke

Barbara has 15+ plus years in accounting experience from both her work in industry and over 10 years in public accounting.
In her current position, Barbara focuses her efforts on providing assurance and consulting services to her clients. Her focus centers mainly on mid-size to large private companies in a variety of industries. Barbara has extensive experience in helping her clients navigate complex accounting issues and ensuring high quality financial reporting.
