The Jacksonville Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants is proud to host our December Chapter webinar, "Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) - What you Need to Know?" The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a $669-billion business loan program established by the 2020 US Federal government, Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) to help certain businesses, self-employed workers, sole proprietors, certain nonprofit organizations, and tribal businesses continue paying their workers. This webinar focuses on what members should be considering regarding tax and compliance if their business applied and received funds.

Jim is the Managing Partner for the Jacksonville Tax Practice in addition to the National Healthcare Tax Practice Leader. He has 30 years of experience working with entrepreneurial and middle market companies on business, growth, tax and exit strategies. Jim also serves as a catalyst for BDO’s Tax 4.0 initiative, helping corporate tax departments automate and streamline tax processes. His services include tax planning, strategic & succession planning, M&A, revenue cycle, and maximizing entity value.

Jim is the tax partner lead for BDO’s National and Florida Healthcare Industry Practice. He works collaboratively with the BDO Center for Healthcare Excellence & Innovation to provide healthcare organizations with a variety of services, including healthcare system strategy redesign, M&A transaction advisory services, physician compensation plans, process optimization and navigation of government compliance challenges.

Jim has in-depth experience with physician practices, ambulatory surgical centers, diagnostic and specialty clinics, hospitals, and private-equity backed practice roll-ups.

In addition to healthcare, Jim has experience working with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, construction and retail industries.

Jim is passionate about the Jacksonville community. He has served as a member of numerous local professional and community organizations and has held leadership positions with several of them. Jim also serves as a partner lead for recruiting at the University of Florida.
